Ways to Support Me

As a freelance writer and educator, I am doing my best to make ends meet. Unfortunately due to my current immigration status (legal to stay in the country while my green card application is considered, but not formally authorized to work for an employer), I find myself stretched pretty thin financially while I await a decision from US immigration and continue applying for full-time creative writing teaching positions. I have a lot of projects, some of which require funding assistance. If you’re interested in my writing coach/editor services, contact me for more details and my current availability. If you’d like to help me out in a more direct fashion, consider donating or supporting me in one of the following ways.

Donate to My Green Card Application Fund

I’m currently applying for permanent resident (green card) status in the US as an EB-1A (Alien of Extraordinary Ability) applicant. Basically this means I’m trying to make the case that my work as a poet and editor contributes to the United States in meaningful and significant ways that justify granting me a green card. It’s one of the few categories you can apply for without an employer sponsor, but it does cost a fair bit of money — and legal fees do creep up as time goes by.

If you’re interested in helping me cover my immigration fees, consider donating to my GoFundMe campaign.

Donate to Help Send Boxcar Poetry Review to AWP 2017 in DC

I’ve already booked my hotel and paid for my table in the book fair, but could use help raising funds to cover my airfare. Current flights to DC from Portland are running about $450-$600. I’d like to book my flight in December, rather than waiting until the last minute. If you’d like to chip in, any assistance would be helpful. I’ll be representing both Boxcar and Have Book Will Travel at the book fair.

Donate to Support Have Book Will Travel
